Zella Louise (Gable) Williams, 84, of Keokuk, IA passed away quietly at her home on Saturday, February 6, 2010. She was born December 24, 1925 on the Gabel family farm in Farmington, IA the daughter of Edward and Florence Newman Gabel. Zella graduated from the Keokuk High School in 1943 and was a member of the National Honor Society. She married Wesley Henry Williams and they moved to Columbus, Ohio where they raised their family. In 1994, Mrs. Williams returned to Keokuk to take care of her mother. Zella was a woman with a generous spirit and a warm and loving heart. She leaves us a legacy of caring, compassion and hope. She will be missed and forever loved by all. She is survived by two daughters, Lesley Kim Williams of Columbus, OH and Leesa Zella Williams of Keokuk, IA, three granddaughters, Jennifer Lee Drake of Columbus, OH, Megan Garner Ramey of Florence, AL and Catherine Elizabeth Rork of Columbus, OH, one grandson, Wesley Newman O'Rourk of Massachusetts, three great grandchildren, Jeneil Lynn Rockhold of Columbus, OH, Brian Wallace Ramey of Florence, AL, and Catherine Jean Ramey of Florence, AL, two sisters, Norma Jean Young and her husband Richard of Holiday Island, AR and Janeil Joyce Lang of Syracuse, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Wesley Henry Williams. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
