William "Kent" Lee, 62, of Kahoka, MO died Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at the Blessing Hospital, Quincy, IL, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born August 30, 1943 in Grass Valley, CA, the son of Wilbur "Bud" and Waneta Rovene "Bill" Kious Lee. He married Lana Lucille Schneider June 2, 1963 at the St. Paul Church in Keokuk, IA. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, David Lee and his wife Shelly of Chatham, IL and Jon Lee and his wife Kandis of Kahoka, MO, four grandchildren Kelsie, Katie, Breanna and Camryn Lee, two sisters, Leih Ann Hayden of Kahoka, and Linda Boudreau and her husband Lloyd of rural Canton, nieces and nephews, Eric Hayden and his wife Amy and their child Allie, Dana Wollard and her husband Bruce and their child Hayden, Jason Boudreau and his wife Carla, Angela Lovell and her husband Steve and their children Morgan, Rachel and Isaac, Carie Logsdon and her husband Troy and their children Lance and Trevor, five brothers-in-law, George Schneider and his wife, Charlotte, Arthur Schneider and his wife, Dixie, Jack Schneider and his wife, Diane, Steve Schneider and his wife, Cindy, and Jim Miller, three sisters-in-law, Dixie VanZile and her husband, Dick, Karen Nichols, and Janet Hoppe and her husband, Larry, several other nieces and nephews and a special friend of the family, Bill Noble. Kent was preceded in death by his parents, his parents-in-law, Henry L. and Jessie Schneider, brother-in-law, James K. Hayden, and two-sisters-in-law, Alice Miller and Gloria Ruffcorn and her husband Ken. He was a resident of Kahoka for 41 years, coming to Kahoka from Medill where he grew up. He graduated from Kahoka High School and also attended Southeastern Community College. He worked at Sheller Globe from 1961 until his retirement in 1997 as a pattern maker. Kent was a member of the Moose Lodge and the United Steel Workers Union #444. He was an avid sports fan, liked drag racing, and enjoyed training and racing thoroughbred horses. Kent enjoyed woodworking and of course, his 1962 Galaxie Sunliner convertible. His family was very important to him and he loved to spend time with his grandchildren. Visitation was held Thursday,October 27, 2005 with the family meeting with friends from 6-8 p.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home of Kahoka, MO. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the America Lung Association or to the family.
