William "Bill" Lambert, 72, of Keokuk, IA, died Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Lexington Square in Keokuk, IA. He was born on January 28, 1936 in Keokuk, IA, the son of John Lowell and Thelma Johnson Lambert. Bill was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War. He had been employed at Foote Mineral and Drydens in Keokuk, IA and had also worked in construction. He was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk. Bill enjoyed fishing and hunting rabbits and squirrels. He is survived by one sister, Norma Murphy and her husband Jim of Keokuk, IA, and one brother, John Lambert and his wife Mary Jane of Johnson, IA. He was preceded in death by one sister, Elaine Boley. Visitation was held from 9 – 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with a rosary recited at 10:00 a.m. by Father Paul Connolly. Following the rosary, a graveside service was held in the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk.
