Obituary

William F. "Bill" Kisor, 81 of Keokuk died Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at his son's home in Keokuk. He was born July 13, 1932 in Ralls County, MO the son of Melvin and Mary Fletcher Kisor. Bill was united in marriage to Jeanne Bostwick in 1950 in Keokuk. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Mary Rosencrans and her husband Danny of Canton, MO, one son, Jim Kisor and his wife Debbie of Keokuk, one foster son, Rick Woodley of West Point, IA, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one sister, Ellen Martin of Hannibal, MO, one sister-in-law, Ferol Kisor of Palmyra, MO and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters. Bill had been employed at Dryden Rubber/Sheller Globe in Keokuk for forty-four years until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Keokuk and was a lifetime member of AFL-CIO Local Union 444. Bill enjoyed remodeling homes and was a talented woodworker and made beautiful crafts. Memorial services were held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church with Reverend Dave Barrett officiating. Burial was in the Argyle Memorial Garden in Argyle, Memorials may be made to the Emmanuel United Methodist Church or Lee County Hospice.
