Wayne Leon Mollers, 87, of Keokuk, IA, died Sunday, February 18, 2007 at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, IA. He was born on January 14, 1920 in rural Keokuk, IA, the son of Henry William and Sarah Dunham Mollers. On September 21, 1947, Wayne was united in marriage to Virginia Dupy. She survives. He is also survived by several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Wayne graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1938. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Force and proudly served his country during WW II in Japan and stateside. He had been employed at the Union Electric Power House in Keokuk, IA from 1946 until his retirement in 1983. Wayne was a member of the First Christian Church in Keokuk, IA where he served on the church Board and was a member of the choir. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m., Wednesday at the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Bill Mitchell officiating.
