Obituary

Wanda V. Kinkeade, 80, of Wayland, MO died peacefully in her sleep Friday, January 12, 2007 in Kahoka, MO. She was born September 24, 1926 in Warsaw, IL, the daughter of Martha & Isaac "Jake" Bunker. She married Lawrence Kinkeade on April 18, 1964 in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death. Wanda worked for Sheller Globe in Keokuk, IA, owned and operated Kinkeade's Bar & Grill, and later volunteered to rock babies at Lil Tikes & Tots Daycare in Wayland, Missouri. She attended school in Argyle, IA. She was a member of Women of the Moose and a lifetime member of VFW Post #4342 Auxiliary. Wanda attended St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka, Missouri. In her senior years, Wanda enjoyed her morning cappuccinos while watching the "Price is Right." Afternoons included "Days of Our Lives" and "Passions," topped off with "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune" in the evenings. She loved visits & calls with her family and friends, the color "Red", all flowers, singing "Mona Lisa" and especially the sound of "Hi Great Me-Me." Survivors include two daughters, Sheila Wood and her husband Mick of Kahoka, MO, and Paula Stanley and her husband Bob of Corpus Christi, TX, two step-daughters, and Barb Davis and her husband Rick and Cindy Leggett all of Keokuk, IA, one sister Martha Delores Kinkeade and Albert Ewalt of Kahoka, MO, three brothers, Jim Bunker and his wife Dorothy of Nebraska, Carl Bunker and his wife Shirley of Wayland, MO, Ivan Bunker and his wife Lois of Wever, IA, twelve grandchildren Dustin Dochterman and his wife Lori of Wayland, MO, Toby Wood and his wife Jaclyn of West Virginia, Tabitha Herrs and her husband Matt of Kahoka, MO, Tonya Hayden and her fiancée Carl Davis, Robby Stanley and his wife Sarah all of Texas, Jerry Kinkeade of Wayland, MO, Mrs. Wanda Tolliver, Mrs. Frankie Austin, Carla Wilson, Lisa Caldwell, Robin Mortimer and Martha Ellen White, fourteen great-grandchildren, Dusty and Shane Dochterman, Clara and Audrey Herrs, Robert Stanley III, Summer Hayden, Isaac and Laci Skinner, Sheena and Kayla Orton, Teresa, Tara, Tracy and Terry Alvis, sister in law Bonnie Bogguss of St. Francisville, MO and brother in law, Joe Neves of St. Francisville, MO and many great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Isaac Skinner, grandson, Larry Kinkeade, great grandson Justin Dochterman, and three step-sons, Larry, Jerry, and Clifford Kinkeade. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 17 at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka, MO with Reverend Ken Beckmann officiating. Burial will be in the Sand Cemetery in St. Francisville, MO. Visitation was held after 1 p.m. Tuesday with the family meeting with friends from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO. Memorials were made to Kahoka St. Paul United Church of Christ Sunday School.
