Virginia Johnson, 91, of Memphis formerly of Kahoka died Sunday, September 13, 2020 at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Missouri. She was born July 12, 1929 in Kahoka, Missouri the daughter of Leslie Roy and Stella Faye Weller Sawyer. Virginia attended school at Clark County R-1 High School in Kahoka. In 1949, she was united in marriage to William Reece. To this union two children were born, Douglas and Dixie. They later divorced. In 1957, she was united in marriage to Owen F. Rebo. To this union Michele and Michael were born. In 1974, she was married to George Johnson. He preceded her in death. She was a food server at the Kimberling Inn in Kimberling City, Missouri. Virginia loved to listen to music and dance. Most of all she loved being with her family. She is survived by four children, Douglas Reece (Barbara), Dixie Kirchner (Clinton) all of Kahoka, Michele Brantner of Nixa, Missouri and Michael Rebo of Sturgeon, Missouri, eight grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and three great great grandchild, a brother, Gerald Sawyer (Judy) of Kahoka, two sisters, Darlean Mohr of Canton, LeNora Davis of Bartlett, TN, sister in law, Betty Sawyer of Kahoka and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son in law, Dan Brantner, sisters, Judy Moych, Delores Shannon, and Vera McGirl, a brother, Gerry "Dean" Sawyer, two half-brothers, Delbert Weller and Bobby Sawyer. Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday September 16, 2020 at Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with Pastor Glen Yoder officiating. Burial was held in the Kahoka Cemetery. Visitation was held prior to the service from 10 – 11 a.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with the family meeting with friends at that time. Memorials may be made to the Clark County Nutrition Center.
