Vicky Lynn Slater Campbell Scobee, 50, of Alexandria, Mo died Saturday, June 12, 2010 in Wayland, MO. She was born November 1, 1959 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Vinton and Mary Hall Slater. She was united in marriage to Gilbert Scobee on December 24, 2003 in Keokuk, IA. He survives. Other survivors include her son Mike Campbell and his wife Sarah, her daughter Mary Campbell all of Keokuk, five grandchildren, Darian, Heaven and Macon Campbell, Alyssa and Natalie Campbell, three step children, Holly Scobee, Jared Scobee, and Jeremy Scobee and his wife Waisha, and two step grandchildren, Tyler and Madison Scobee, two sisters, Penny Johnson of Montrose, IA, and Julie Slater and her companion John Gray of Nauvoo, IL, one brother Mark Slater of North Carolina, two nephews, Joshua & Justin Slater and two nieces McKenzie Slater and Jenny Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Walter & Iva Slater and Ollie and Edith Hall. Vicky graduated from Keokuk Senior High School with the Class of 1978. She enjoyed being around friends and family and trying to help others. She was a faithful follower of her Christian beliefs. She was a loving mother, grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. Memorial services were held 1 p.m. Thursday, June 17 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk. Memorials may be made to the family.
