Vernon Keith Jones, 66 passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

Vernon was born October 22, 1958 in Kansas City, MO the son of Robert and Freda Manewal Freelove Jones, Sr.

He married Marcia Hickle in December 1990 and resided in Davenport for many years.

He is survived by his wife Marcia, brothers, Frank Jones (Betty Woon) of Boulder, CO, Glen Jones of Ft. Madison, John Jones (Stephanie) of Nikolaevsk, AK and sister, RaeAnne Twaddle of Ft. Madison. He is also survived by two daughters, Audrea Barker of Iowa City, and Heather Begle (Jeremy) of Davenport, two stepsons, Timothy Hickle of Topeka, KS and Jason Hickle (Angela) of Davenport, eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Terry Michael Jones and Robert Lee Jones, Jr.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
