Velva Gloria Green, 76 of Keokuk died Friday at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. She was born on April 14, 1938 in Keokuk the daughter of Clinton and Annabelle Yates Stark. Velva was united in marriage to William Green in Des Moines, IA. They were married for over twenty years until his death in 1982. Velva graduated from Keokuk Senior High. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Keokuk. Velma was a loving mother and homemaker who greatly enjoyed caring for her surviving sons, especially after the death of her daughter, Theresa. She is survived by three sons, William Stark of Jesup, GA, Dan Green of Brunswick, GA and Gerald Green of Keokuk, one sister, Geraldeen Ragon of Lakewood, FL and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in by her parents and one daughter, Theresa Lund. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 3rd, 2014 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Alex Kloster officiating.
