Troy Lee Daniels, 51, of Keokuk, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, March 23, 2026.
He was born on September 14, 1974, in Keokuk, the son of Terry Lynn and Patricia Irene Gaus Daniels.
Troy was a 1993 graduate of Keokuk High School. Following high school, he attended Vatterott College, where he earned his degree in HVAC.
On June 4, 2011, he was united in marriage to April Hecox. She survives.
In addition to his wife, Troy is remembered by his mother, Patricia Daniels of Keokuk; his daughters, Victoria Daniels and Marissa Daniels; his bonus children, Alex Owen and Andrea Owen; and his grandchildren, Wyatt, Aubrey, Lincoln and Liam. He is also survived by his brother, Terry Daniels, Jr. (Rhonda) of Conroe, Texas; his nieces and nephew, Taryn McCarter (Nick), Tiffany Taymoori (Armon), and Lucas McGee (Nicole); as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Lynn Daniels, Sr.; his granddaughter, Blakeleigh Lynch; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Troy was employed with Metzler Automotive and worked for Dan Reece heating and air conditioning.
Troy had a love for riding motorcycles and the freedom of the open road. He had a playful spirit and a great sense of humor—always ready with a joke or a prank, he could light up any room and was often the life of the party. His laughter was contagious, and his presence made every gathering brighter. Troy found some of his happiest moments sharing music with his dad, whether they were listening together or playing side‑by‑side in their band. Those memories, full of rhythm, laughter, and connection, became some of the most meaningful chapters of his life.
More than anything, Troy was a devoted family man. He was April’s safe place, Patti’s rock, and the center of his girls’ world. His love was steady, strong, and unconditional, and his family meant everything to him.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services or visitation.
