Obituary

Tony Eugene Roller, 55, of Kahoka, MO, died Thursday, May 24, 2007 at his home in Kahoka, MO. He was born October 5, 1951 the son of Noble Lester and Vivian Jane Berrie Roller. He was united in marriage to Tina Ashworth on August 21, 1983. Left to cherish Tony's memory are his wife Tina Roller, of Kahoka, MO, his children Chelsea Ann Roller of Kahoka, MO, Brandon Eugene Roller of Des Moines, IA, Lori Roller of St. Joseph, MO, and Nickie Logsdon of Wyaconda, MO, two grandchildren, Ashley and Dakota Logsdon, six brothers, David Kephart and his wife Jackie of Normal, IL, Richard Roller of Stewartsville, MO, Kenneth Roller and his wife Sheryl of Kansas City, MO, Timothy Roller and his wife Gerry of Knoxville, TN, Thomas Roller and his wife Sally of Kansas City, MO, MO and Rex Roller and his wife Joan of Luray, MO, six sisters, Judy Sawyer and her husband Gerald of Kahoka, MO, Nancy Edlen and her husband Jack of Kahoka, MO, Susan Redding of Kahoka, MO, Gloria Kiger and her husband Larry of Kahoka, MO, Jacquilyn Boatman of Unionville, MO, and Kelly Varnold and her husband Darrell of Moberly, MO, his brothers and sisters in law, Tim Ashworth, Terry Ashworth, Tony Ashworth, Susan Wallace, Carol Wolfram, Rick Ashworth all of St. Joseph, MO, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, parents in law Wayne and Frances Ashworth and three brothers in law, Jim Boatman, Keith Redding and John Dick, Sr. At the age of 18 after his high school graduation from Clark County High School he joined the Marines during the Vietnam Era. After he returned from service he attended Southeastern Community College receiving his Associates Degree. Tony worked for Semco as a sheet metal worker and machinist and became a member of the Sheet Metal Workers' Union of Kansas City, MO. Tony was also a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Chillicothe, MO and a member of NRA. He enjoyed wood working and mushroom hunting. Even though his health was failing he still managed to find two mushrooms this year. He will always be remembered for his love and dedication to his family. Spending time with friends and family especially his grandchildren was a highlight in his day. Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 29 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, Missouri with Pastor Tim Roller officiating. Burial with military rites was in the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, Iowa. Memorial remembrances may be made to the Vivian J. Roller Family Endowment or to the Clark County Local Cancer Fund.
