Toni Lynn Nichols

Toni Lynn Nichols 68, of Keokuk, IA passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at her home.

She was born February 25, 1958 in Keokuk the daughter of William and Colette Lillard Toops. She graduated from Kahoka High School with the class of 1976. She was a member of the Sandusky United Methodist Church.

On July 3, 1978 she was united in marriage to Dean Nichols in Buffalo, MO. He survives.

Other survivors include one daughter Sarah (Bryan) Morrell of St. Louis, MO, and two sons Thomas (K-Lynn) Nichols of Keokuk, IA and William (Carissa) Nichols of Des Moines, IA, two grandsons, Oliver and Ian Nichols, two sisters Vicki (Carlos) Somoza of Tehachapi, CA and Sheri (Ed) Brothers of Gillette, WY, one brother Jerry Toops and one sister-in-law Lisa Toops of St. Francisville, MO, her mother Colette Larson of Fort Madison, IA and mother-in law Joan Jordan of Keokuk, IA as well as many nieces and nephews and her two cats Skittles and Titus.

She was preceded in death by one son Timothy Nichols, one grandson Caspian Morrell, her grandparents, her father William Toops and her step father Harold Larson.

Toni enjoyed baking especially making wonderful homemade pies. She could be found gardening in her yard and collecting antiques. Traveling was also a favorite pastime. Toni loved her children and grandchildren and was very supportive of their hopes and dreams.

A gathering of remembrance will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2026 from 2-4 p.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk.
