Tina M. Lucas, 54, of West Point, IA, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, IA. She was born July 20, 1956 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of Maloy and Norma LeMaster Norvell. On August 15, 1995 she was united in marriage to Frank E. Lucas in Wayland, MO. He preceded her in death on November 8, 2006. Tina graduated from Clark County R-1 High School in Kahoka, MO. She had been employed at Griffin Wheel in Keokuk, IA as a security guard for ten years. Tina was very artistic and loved to sew and make crafts. She was very interested in Native American culture and made beautiful dream catchers and corn cob dolls. She enjoyed being outdoors fishing, camping, gardening and bird watching. She is survived by two daughters, Philina Zimmerman and her fiancé Charles Markert of West Point , IA and Jessica Davison of Keokuk, IA, one son, Christopher Smith of Keokuk, IA, four grandchildren, Micheal Biddenstadt of West Point, IA, Ethan Leffler of Keokuk, IA, Caitlyn Zimmerman of Virginia Beach, VA and Roselyn Smith of Bowling Green, MO, her mother and stepfather, Norma and Jesse Rye of Revere, MO, her best friend, Jan Haskins, and several brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Hazel and Norman LeMaster and one sister, Pam Norvell. Memorial services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Dan Deatrick officiating. Memorials may be made to the family.
