Timothy Allen McKibben, 67 of Somerset, WI died Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Mississippi Valley Healthcare in Keokuk, IA. He was born August 10, 1953, in Newburg, MO the son of Lawrence and Norine VanCamp McKibben. On August 27, 1983, he was united in marriage to Dorene Carvill in Wyoming, MI and shared 37 wonderful years together. She survives. Other survivors include four sons, Chris McKibben (Lila), Chad McKibben, Cory McKibben and Travis McKibben, one daughter, Amanda Rice (Brian), one granddaughter, seven grandsons and one sister, Susan Sanic. He was preceded in death by his mother, Norine McKibben, sister, Jill Meeker and brother-in-law, Bernie Sanic. They had lived in Wyoming, Michigan until 2005 at which time they moved to Lake Elmo, Minnesota until 2019, then moved to Somerset, WI. Tim had been employed by Hagberg's Country Market in Lake Elmo, MN and enjoyed his five years at the meat counter. Tim was an outdoorsman and loved spending weekends at O'Neil Creek Campground, having campfires with friends and cruising around on his golf cart. His favorite holiday was Halloween and he loved nothing more than putting together a scary haunted house. Tim's greatest joy was to spend time with his family, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was proud of his grandchildren and loved to attend their sporting events and serving as his granddaughter's personal Uber driver. Tim enjoyed making people smile and came up with a nickname for everyone. A celebration of Tim's life was held on Wednesday, July 28, from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 111 in Somerset, WI. The address is: 464 County Rd VV, Somerset, WI 54025. The family had a service with military funeral honors at 6 pm. A separate celebration of life will be held in August in Michigan for our friends and family.
