Thomasine "Tommie" Marie Jones, 53, of Keokuk, died Friday, April 3, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. She was born on January 4, 1956 in Waterloo, IA the daughter of Thomas and Beverly Woollums Ralston. She married Robert Schwab on September 14, 1974 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She then married Stan Jones in Keokuk, IA. She graduated from the Colerain High School in Cincinnati, OH with the Class of 1974. Tommie had been employed by Daylight Donut in Keokuk, IA and later by Servicemaster in Ft. Madison, IA. She was a collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia and enjoyed watching the Andy Griffith Show and Court TV programs. She was a loving mother and grandmother and cherished the time she spent with her family. She is survived by a long time companion, Jeffrey Steele of Keokuk, IA, five daughters, Lisa Schwab of Peoria, IL, Sheana Jeffers and her husband Michael, Stephanie Jones, Sarina Davis and her husband Nick and Amanda Steele all of Keokuk, IA, one son, Shea Jones and his wife Jessica of Keokuk, IA, two brothers, Rick Ralston, and Tom Ralston both of Cincinnati, OH, two sisters, Hazel Ralston and Linda Mountel both of Cincinnati, OH, and nine grandchildren, Mikalyn Jeffers, Griphen Jeffers, Lexi Forester, Christina Jones, Drake Jones, Ryley Davis, Marley Davis, Abagail Jones and Brayden Jones, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Scandinavian Cemetery in rural Argyle with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Memorials may be made to the family.
