View Video Tribute Terry Eugene Frakes, 48 of Keokuk, IA passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, July 14, 2011 surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 20, 1963 in Carthage, IL the son of John and Ida Hielder Frakes. On July 3, 1994, Terry was united in marriage to Mary Stewart in Hamilton, IL. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Jessica, step-children, Greg and Amy, nine grandchildren, Colton, Kaden, Kaleb, Konnor, Kalie, Rosie, Bryce, Eric Jr., and newborn Kynley, his father, John Frakes and his wife Sharon of Hamilton, IL, two sisters, Sandy Dobson and her husband Reinie of Keokuk, IA and Debbie Faulkner and her husband Don of Hamilton, IL, three brothers, Mike Frakes his companion Gordy of Elvaston, IL, Russell Frakes and his wife Karen of Elvaston, IL and Randy Frakes and his wife Tonya of Hamilton, IL and several nieces and nephews. When Terry arrived at his heavenly home he was greeted by his mother Ida and his grandparents. Terry attended Hamilton High School. He had been employed at Decker Manufacturing for ten years. He loved being in the timber hunting deer, mushroom hunting and fishing with his brother, Rusty at the lake. Terry enjoyed listening to music and cherished the time he spent with his family and grandchildren. A Gathering of Remembrance was held Monday July 18, 2011 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with family meeting with friends at that time. Memorials may be made to the family.
