Terry W. Butch Balentine, 70, of Keokuk, IA, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital in Fort Madison, IA. He was born on December 16, 1943 in Mt. Sterling, IL the son of Eulis Everett and Genevive Farrel Balentine.He had been employed at St. Louis Die Casting and Seabolds Animal Farm both in Keokuk. He had been employed at CHMI in Keokuk for fifteen years, retiring in 2004. Terry enjoyed the company of his friends at the local bars. He is survived by two sisters, Betty St. Clair of Kahoka, MO and Sandra Egley and her husband Paul of Wayland, MO, one brother, Donald Balentine of Keokuk, one half-brother, Albert (Buster) Oswald, four half-sisters, Mary Mohler, Sharon Salvador, Wanda Balentine and Nancy Balentine, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Gathering of Remembrance for family and friends was held on Friday March 14, 2014 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA. Burial will be at a later date in the Kahoka Cemetery in Kahoka, MO.
