Susan Elaine (Roller) Redding, 65, of Kahoka, MO went home to be with the Lord on March 28, 2013. Her final days were surrounded by her loving family. Susan was born on April 21, 1947, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Noble Lester and Vivan Jane Berrie Roller. On October 4, 1965, she was united in marriage to Robert "Keith" Redding in Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death on October 23, 2004. She graduated from Kahoka High School with the Class of 1965. After raising her children, she pursued her education and graduated from Southeastern Community College in 1994, then continued to pursue her Board of Governors degree at Western Illinois University. She held various Customer Relations and Accounting Positions including positions at United Cities Gas Company, Mississippi Blending and Allied Starch, lastly retiring from Borders Heating and Air Conditioning. Susan was a lifelong and faithful follower of Jesus Christ and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. Through her battle with cancer her testimony exhibited II Timothy 4:7-8 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were the highlight of her earthly days. Coming from such a tight-knit family she also spent a great deal of time with her sisters. Her sisters were her peace, strength and solace while battling her cancer and were continuously at her side, along with her brothers to the end. Susan also loved the sunshine, a quiet cup of coffee and sitting outdoors to enjoy the birds, foxes and any other wildlife she could get a glimpse of while sitting on the patio of her rural home. The loved ones she leaves behind to hold onto her memories include her son, Kevin Keith Redding and his wife Jennifer of Kahoka and her daughter Christine Elaine Lake and her husband Kevin of Kahoka; Eight (8) Grandchildren, April Smith and her husband Ryan, Trisha Worrell and her husband Bronson, Courtney Wallace and her husband Brandon, Shelby Raegan Lake and her fiancée Martin Box, Devin Redding, Lyndsay, Zachariah and Shelby Jayne Cohen; Ten (10) great grandchildren, Katie, Megyn, and Brayden Smith; Alex, Cameron, Keegan and Kimberlyn Worrell; Bryce, Landyn and Jacksyn Wallace, her brothers and sisters, Judy Sawyer and her husband Gerald, Richard Roller, Nancy Edlen and her husband Jack, Kenneth Roller, Gloria Kiger and her husband Larry, Timothy Roller and his wife Gerry, Jacquilyn Boatman, Thomas Roller and his wife Sally, Rex Roller and his wife Joan, and Kelly Varnold and her husband Darrell, along with nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers David Kephart and Tony Roller, a brother-in-law Jim Boatman, and a niece Kari Wright. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013 at the Bible Baptist Church in Kahoka. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Bible Baptist Missions or the Clark County Local Cancer Fund.
