Susan Linda Anderson, 61, of Keokuk, IA, died Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk. She was born on March 27, 1949 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of Felix and Louise Canida Howell. She graduated from Keokuk High School in Keokuk, IA. She had been employed at several places including Deckers in Keokuk, IA, the Keokuk Country Club, Montebello Health Care Center in Hamilton, IL and Methode in Carthage, IL. Susan was a woman of many talents. She was a fine marksman, winning several trophies for trapshooting. She was skilled in Pysanky, the art of Ukranian Easter eggs. She was an avid reader and enjoyed Tales of King Arthur as well as novels by Stephen King and Jonathan Carroll. Susan was her happiest at the Christmas holidays, baking, decorating the house and being surrounded by her family. She is survived by one daughter, Tara Anderson of Queens, N.Y., one son, Eric Anderson of Keokuk, two sisters, Judy Long and Dixie Howell both of Keokuk, one brother, John Howell of Keokuk and her close friend and confidant, Donna Happs of Keokuk. There will be no visitation or services. Memorials may be made to the family.
