Stuart D. Hagerman, 82, of Keokuk, IA, formerly of St. Francisville, MO, died Friday, May 4, 2007 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. He was born on July 1, 1924 in Keokuk, IA, the son of George V. and Hazel Frances Harter Hagerman. Stuart lived on the family farm in St. Francisville, MO for most of his life. He moved to Keokuk, Iowa in 1992. He had been employed at Hoerner Box in Keokuk, IA from 1949 – 1966. Following his employment at Hoerner Box, he worked at the Daily Gate City and Zip Print in Keokuk. He was a member of the Wayland United Methodist Church in Wayland, MO, the Wayland OES #469 and a fifty-year member of the St. Francisville Masonic Lodge #588. He is survived by one sister, Frances Egan and her husband Jim of Ventura, CA, one brother, Donald Hagerman and his wife Ada of Minneapolis, MN, three nieces, Jeanne Parsons Pilgram and her husband Neil, Susanne Johnson & her husband Jeff, Lisa O'Patrney and her husband Gene, three nephews, Dan Hagerman and his wife Shelley, Scott Hagerman and his wife Debbie and Kent Hagerman and his wife Ann, several cousins, a long-time friend and caregiver, Marcus Vigen of Keokuk, IA and caregivers, Linda Gibson, Wanda Reeves and Mary Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, George Bernard Hagerman. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery in Kahoka, MO. Memorials may be made to the Wayland United Methodist Church or the National Braille Institute.
