Stephanie Lynn Johnson, 42 of Keokuk, IA died Monday, May 1, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA.

She was born August 8, 1980 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of Daniel and Sheila Smith. Stephanie graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 1999.

She had been employed by the Hoerner YMCA in Keokuk for the past year.

Stephanie was a member of First Christian Church in Keokuk.

Stephanie enjoyed spending time outside working in her yard and was very particular how it looked. She had a green thumb and grew beautiful flowers every summer. Stephanie liked watching movies, listening to all types of music and researching her family's genealogy. She was a faithful fan of all her children's activities and treasured the time she spent with them.

She is survived by three children, Elijah Johnson, Owen West and Adalynn Smith all of Keokuk, her parents, Dan and Sheila Smith of Hamilton, IL, one sister, Stacie Dickens (Jim) of Keokuk, one niece, Olivia Dickens of Bettendorf, IL and one nephew, Joseph Dickens of Keokuk. She is also survived by two aunts, Betty Bertschi of Hamilton, IL and Linda Holland of Montrose, IA.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Darrell and Lorraine Smith and Roscoe and Gail Smith.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
