Stanley Warren McCane, 64, of Keokuk died Monday, April 20, 2015 at his home. He was born July 16, 1950 in Argyle, IA the son of Nellie Florence Dawson. On July 4th, 1989 he was united in marriage to Tieschler Dillard in Ft. Madison, IA. They later divorced. Stan loved to restore old cars, work on his truck and had several hot rods in his lifetime. He enjoyed fishing and was passionate about Blues music. He also collected model cars and enjoyed drag racing. He loved to challenge his creativity in his drawings. He was employed by several car dealers in the area as a car detailer. He is survived by two brothers, Anthony Smith and his wife Pam and Rod Smith all of Keokuk, one sister, Cynthia Smith of Keokuk, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and his uncle, Chester Dawson. A Gathering of Remembrance was held at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk.
