Shirley J. Stonehouse, 58, of Keokuk, IA formerly of Montrose, IA died Sunday May 21, 2006 at her home. She was born on June 10, 1947 in Rutledge, MO the daughter of Archie and Vivian King Tull. She first married Benjamin Peterson in 1970. Then on June 8, 1984, she married William "Dick" Stonehouse in Keokuk, IA. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2003. Shirley graduated from the Edina High School, Edina, MO with the Class of 1965. She was of the Christian Faith. She had been employed with Home Health Care in Keokuk for several years and then at Keokuk Area Hospital for the last five years. Shirley was a devoted mother and greatly enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed being with her friends and going shopping. She is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Peterson of Chicago, IL, two sisters, Marilyn Garmon and her husband Richard of Morris, IL, and Marjorie Hamner and her husband Herold of Kahoka, MO, one brother, Bill Tull of Quincy, IL, step-children and step grand-children, nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Joann Cumalander. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 24, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Herold Hamner officiating. Burial was in the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, IA.
