Shirley Ann Lewis, 73, of Montrose, IA, formerly of Keokuk, IA, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at the Montrose Health Care Center in Montrose, IA. She was born on June 28, 1934 in Burlington, IA, the daughter of Aaron and Evelyn Nelson Breuer. She married Lyle Lee Lewis in Burlington, IA. He preceded her in death on May 11, 1998. Shirley had worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses over the years, retiring in 1998. She is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Krome and her husband, David of Keokuk, IA, two sons, Michael Lewis and his wife Susan of Ocean Springs, MS and Todd Lewis of Keokuk, IA, four grandchildren, Tara Nicoli, Drew Krome, Rachel Lewis and Matthew Lewis, four great-grandchildren, Taylor Krome, Bailey Nicoli, Paige Krome and Garret Lewis, one brother, Richard Breuer of Burlington, IA and one sister, Joyce Pryor of Phoenix, AZ. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Robert, James, Jack and Kenneth Breuer and one sister, Jean Rule. A graveside service was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at the Oquawka Cemetery in Oquawka, IL with Reverend Bill Olmsted officiating. Memorials may be made to the Lee County Hospice.
