Sheryl "Sherry" Ann Fowler, 70, of Keokuk died Sunday, April 5 at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, IA.
Sherry was born August 8, 1944 in Mt. Pleasant, IA the daughter of Virgil and Helen Marie Hester Wilson. She was first married to Glenn Copeland to which this union three children
were born. They later divorced. On March 4, 1992 she was united in marriage to Harold Fowler in Keokuk. He preceded her in death on August 18, 2006.
Sherry attended Memphis High School in Memphis, MO.
She had been employed at Fruehauf in Ft. Madison, IA for twenty years until her retirement. She then worked at HyVee in Keokuk for two and a half years.
Sherry was a member of Farm Bureau.
She enjoyed all types of crafts and was especially skilled at painting light bulbs. Sherry loved to collect various things including old people statues and cow figurines and she loved all kinds of animals. Her favorite pastime was mowing the lawn and watering the cows.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Boyer and her husband Brad of Farmington, IA and Traci Schrader and her husband Bill of Ft. Madison, IA, four grandchildren, Amber Dressler, Michelle Boyer, Jamee Boyer and Breanne Helmers, one great-grandchild, Tammy Crawford, three sisters, Sharon Drick of Seabrook, TX, Vicky Dovenspike of Salem, IA and Penny Fish-Backens and husband (Jim Backens) of Omaha, NE and one brother, Terrell Wilson and his wife Adrienne of Houghton, IA.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Mark Copeland and one brother-in-law, Joe Drick.
A funeral service was at 11 a.m., Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with John Hayes officiating.
