Sherry Higbee, 60, of Keokuk, IA, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. She was born on August 30, 1950 in Ft. Madison, IA, the daughter of Willard and Grace Lavine Higbee. She is survived by three brothers, Ivan Swearingen and his wife Ronda of Ft. Madison, IA, Richard Higbee and his wife Carol of Florida and William Schmitz, Jr. of St. Louis, MO and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Gathering of Remembrance was held from 2 – 4 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with the family meeting with friends at that time.
