Sara Louise Graf

Sara Louise Graf 77, of Keokuk, IA died September 19, 2018 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. She was born October 16, 1940 the daughter of William Edward and Dorothy Nira Kayser Brookhart. On September 29, 1959 she was united in marriage to Charles Graf. He survives. Other survivors include two sisters, Gloria Clara Mitchell of Keokuk and Delores Jean Mortimer of Kahoka, MO and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Richard and Eddie Brookhart. Sara had been employed by Keokuk Area Hospital for several years. She was a member of New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk. Sara enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening, fishing and feeding the birds. She always made sure to feed the woodpeckers and blue jays because she thought they were neglected. She also enjoyed shopping, and was an avid garage sale and flea market shopper. Sara was gifted in arts and crafts and made beautiful ceramics. She also loved to bake. Sara adored animals and loved her dog Corky very much. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Keokuk with Dawn Farris officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
