Sandy June Mills Azbill, 72, of Keokuk died Monday, October 9, 2023 at the Memorial Hospital in Carthage, IL.
She was born December 23, 1950 in Bloomington, IL the daughter of Charles and Betty Jean Swaim Terven.
On November 2, 1967, she was united in marriage to Floyd Azbill, they later divorced. She then married Robert Mills on March 19, 1971, he preceded her in death on March 5, 1997. Sandy then remarried Floyd Azbill on July 2, 1998. They later divorced but remained close friends.
She was employed at the Chuck Wagon for 20 years, and the Clark County Nursing Home as a CNA until her retirement in 1997.
Sandy loved spending time with her family and reading her bible. She was consistently praying for her family and their friends.
She was a devoted Christian and was a member of the Apostolic Faith United Pentecostal Church in Keokuk, IA, and the Life of Tabernacle in Canton, MO.
Sandy is survived by four sons, Darrell Azbill of Keokuk, IA, Rocky Azbill (Tessa) of Argyle, IA, Robert Mills Jr., and Ben Mills (Heather) both of Keokuk, IA, one daughter, Betty Mills of Delavan, IL, two stepsons, Daniel Hainz of Germany, and Chris Mills of Fort Madison, IA, one stepdaughter, Kristin Lewis-Mills of Luray, MO, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by four brothers, Charles Terven, Donald Terven, Ricky Terven Sr., and Rocky Terven, two sisters, Kim Billington, and Judy Clark.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one stepson, Kevin Mills, one brother Dennis Terven, and one sister, Brenda Prewitt.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 17 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA. Burial was held at Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk, IA.
Visitation was held before the service from 11-1 p.m., at the funeral home with the family meeting with friends at that time.
Memorials will be made to Apostolic Faith United Pentecostal Church.
