View Video Tribute Ruth Louise Morris, 81, of Keokuk, IA, died on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama the daughter of Gus and Johnny Mae Stockdale Woods. She married Otis Morris in 1974 in Keokuk, IA. He preceded her in death in 1996. Ruth received her LPN degree from St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Co and had worked as a nurse in Denver, Cleveland, OH, Indianapolis, IN, Burlington, IA and Keokuk, IA. She had also been employed as an in-home child-care provider for the families of Dr. Kantamneni, Dr. Hartanowitz and Mike and Carolyn Harryman. She was a member of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Keokuk, IA. Ruth is survived by her son, Kim Morris, one brother, Edgar Smith, a sister-in-law, Betty L. Woods, three nieces, Sheryl, Candice and Nikki, three nephews, Henry, Gus, Jr., and Kauzy and many cousins. A memorial service for Mrs. Morris was held at 2 p.m., Monday, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA. Burial was in the Keokuk National Cemetery
