Ruth Marie Hall, 85, of Keokuk, IA, died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at her granddaughter's home in Ft. Madison. She was born May 18, 1928 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of Harry and Pearl Scofield Bird. On August 30, 1945 she was united in marriage to Ora Hall in Wheelwright, KY. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1995. Ruth had been employed at the Keokuk Convalescent Center, River Hills Village and Keokuk Area Hospital as a CNA. She was a member of the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk. Ruth enjoyed playing Bingo and loved to watch wrestling. Ruth lived with her granddaughter Kelly, who took care of her so she was able to spend time with her great-grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She is survived by two sons, Richard Hall of Keokuk and Gene Hall and his wife Bonnie of Keokuk, one adopted daughter, Elizabeth Hall of Keokuk, two granddaughters, Kelly Sapp and her husband Matt of Ft. Madison, IA and Kathy Mitchell-Hall of Keokuk, IA, two grandsons, Kevin Hall of Hamilton, IL and Bryan Hall and his wife Nicole, and seven great-grandchildren, Kody Sapp, Keagan Sapp, Colin Mitchell, Anaikin Starr, Lucas Hall, Eli Hall and Nick Hall and one sister, Maxine Allen of Hamilton, IL. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters, and a child in infancy. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Memorials may be made to River Hills Village.
