Ruth Helen Lowe Bowen, 83, of Warsaw, IL died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at her home in Warsaw, IL. She was born January 13, 1923 in Cincinnati, Iowa the daughter of James and Chloe Funnell Lowe. In 1941 she married Francis Corwin Bowen. He preceded her in death. Ruth had been employed with the Warsaw Community District 316 as an elementary school teacher for twenty years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of the Warsaw Presbyterian Church in Warsaw. She enjoyed painting, sewing, and needle and craft work. She is survived by two daughters, Vera Louise Austin and her husband Stephen, and Kathryn Lynn Foley and her husband Robert all of Warsaw, IL, four grandchildren, Angella Kay Moorehouse, Cody Austin, Tracy Fowler and Karen Burns, seven great grandchildren and a sister Vera Elizabeth Hovie of Granada Hills, CA. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and James Lowe. Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, Iowa.
