Rozella Johnson

Rozella May "Rosie" Johnson, 81, of Montrose, Iowa died Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Montrose Health Center in Montrose, IA. She was born May 9, 1932 in Donnellson, Iowa the daughter of Oscar and Fay Derr Kinkeade. On November 4, 1950 she was united in marriage to Harold Johnson in Montrose, Iowa where they made their home for over sixty years. He preceded her in death on February 22, 2011. For fifteen years she was employed at Sheaffer Pen in Ft. Madison, IA as a supervisor in the testing lab. Rosie enjoyed playing cards, spending time on the computer, scrapbooking and researching genealogy. She adored her family and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Jennie Tweedy and her husband Rodney of Montrose, IA, a son, Tim Johnson and his fiancé Candy Stark of Montrose, IA, seven grandchildren, David Doyle and his wife Jenny of Donnellson, IA, Tim Johnson, Jr. of Cedar Rapids, IA, Philip Tweedy and his wife Tory of Hannibal, MO, Douglas Tweedy and his wife Sara of Palmyra, MO, Jill Davis and her husband Andy of Lathrop, MO, T.J. Kunkel of Cedar Rapids, IA and Brittney Davis of Keokuk, IA, sixteen great grandchildren, Taylor, Brandon and Ava Doyle, Drew, Jacob and Nathan Tweedy, Brent, Ryan and Eli Tweedy, Emma Bainter, Allie McIntee, Trevor, Morgan and Audrey Davis, Ava Davis and Olivia Davis, a sister, Leila Hancock of Farmington, IA, a sister in law, Dorothy Hoffman and her husband Jim of West Point, IA, and a sister in law, Doris Johnson of Ft. Madison, IA. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Wilda Saltzgaver and a brother Irvin Kinkeade. A private graveside service was held in the Montrose Cemetery in Montrose, IA. Memorials may be made to Lee County Hospice or the Montrose Health Center in Montrose, IA.
