Rossella Lee Kay, 66, of Keokuk, Iowa, passed away on December 10, 2017 at her home.
Rossella was born on June 27, 1951 in Carthage, Illinois, the daughter of Luther and June May Randolph Bennett. She graduated from Carthage High School with the Class of 1969.
On July 12, 1979, Rossi was united in marriage to Danny Travis Kay Sr. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2010.
Rossi had been employed at State Central Bank/Pilot Grove Savings Bank in Keokuk as a bank teller for 19 years. She retired in 2016.
She loved music and enjoyed attending blues events. She was a dedicated St. Louis Cardinal fan. Rossi's family was very important to her. She put her family first and was always available to help. Her kindness and sense of humor brightened many lives.
She is survived by one son, Danny T. Kay Jr. (Jennifer) of East Peoria, IL, one daughter, Nicole Ham (Roland) of Phoenix, AZ, her significant other, Leland Robinson, of Keokuk, IA, one granddaughter, Margo Ham, of Phoenix, AZ, one brother, L. James Bennett (Shelley) of Carthage, IL, two sisters, Sandy Steffensen (Chuck) of Aurora, CO, and Carmen Clampitt (Ronald) of West Point, IL and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
A gathering of remembrance was held on December 14, 2017 from 6-8pm at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with the family meeting with friends at that time.
