Obituary

Roseann LeMaster 81 of St. Francisville, MO passed away Friday, April 26, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 5, 1943 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Russell and Gladys Rosencrans Reed.

On December 31, 1958, she was united in marriage to Harold Franklin LeMaster in Keokuk. He preceded her in death on October 15, 2021.

Roseann worked at Kahoka Medical Clinic for Dr. Beckert for ten years before being employed at Sheller Globe/Henniges in Keokuk for twenty-four years, until her retirement in 2001.

She was an active member of the St. Francisville United Methodist Church and the members of the church were her best friends. She was also a member of Kahoka Chapter #40 Order of Eastern Star.

Roseann lived life in full color with pink being her signature hue reflecting her personality. Whether it was exploring new destinations or hunting for the perfect gift. Her enthusiasm for Christmas was infectious, as she immersed herself in the magic of the season spreading cheer with every decoration and Christmas tree. Most of all it was time spent with family that she treasured most.

She is survived by her son, Jim (Kerry) LeMaster of Keokuk, two grandchildren, Logan (Portia Smeltser) LeMaster and A.J. LeMaster, five great-grandchildren, Jewel, Wyatt, Alexis, Zephyr and Stori. She is also survived by her sister, Pat Elder of St. Francisville. three brothers-in-law, Ken (Janice) LeMaster of Revere, MO, Gary LeMaster of Alexandria, MO and William LeMaster of Pensacola, FL, two sisters-in-law, Janis Davis of Burlington, IA and Kathy LeMaster of Wayland, MO, and many nieces and nephews and special friend, Duane Smith.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Dana LeMaster, a brother, Jim Dennison and his wife Shirley, three brothers-in-law, Jim Elder, Donald LaMaster and his wife Margerite, and Tom LeMaster, four sisters-in-law, Barbara Holtkamp, Leona Rampley and husband Gene, and Velma Dickwisch and husband Jack and Mary Toops and her husband George "Bud" Toops and a niece, Angela Elder.

Visitation was held Wednesday, May 1 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with the family meeting with friends from 5 - 7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Saint Francisville Community Church.
