Roseann L. Gibson, 62, of Keokuk, IA, died Friday, August 14, 2015 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital in Fort Madison, IA.
She was born on July 2, 1953 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Henry and Lorena Mae Dickens Dobbs. On September 19, 1985 Roseann was united in marriage to Mike Gibson in Keokuk, IA. He survives.
She is also survived by one daughter Michelle Coppler and husband Jody of Keokuk, one son, Michael Houston of Keokuk, seven grandchildren, Brandon, Breanna and Bailey Coppler, Lamona, Desiree and Ashley Houston and Bentley Washburn, one step-grandson, Zayden Washburn, one brother, Henry Dobbs, one brother-in-law Wendell Wheeler both of Ft. Madison, her mother-in-law, Patricia Samuels of Keokuk, two sisters-in-law, Tammy Allen & husband Terry of Keokuk and Lisa VanWinkle and husband Brian of Moline, IL, nieces, nephews and cousins and her loving cat, Herky.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law, Donald Gibson.
Roseann worked as a CNA and had been employed at Keokuk Area Hospital Home Health Care and also Sunnybrook in West Point, IA. She was a very hard worker and loved taking care of people.
She enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go camping. Roseann was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who greatly enjoyed caring for her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and always brought a smile to her face.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk.
Visitation will be held after 1 p.m., Tuesday at the Vigen Memorial Home with the family meeting with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
