Rosa Mae Brown, 96, of Keokuk, IA died Monday, December 26, 2005 at the River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA.
She was born August 12, 1909 in Adams Co. IL the daughter of Harry Washington and Myrtle Eaton Miller.
Rosa Mae was united in marriage to Glenn E. Brown on February 5, 1925 in Keokuk, IA. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1994.
She loved to make beaded dolls and pillows for her family and friends. She was always there in time of need for a neighbor or friend. She was a loving mother and grandmother and cherished the time she spent with her family. She always loved a chance to spoil her grandchildren.
Rosa Mae is survived by one son, H. Wesley Brown and his wife Sharon E. of Keokuk, IA, one daughter, Grace Campbell Hodges and her husband Wayne of Kahoka, MO, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, two brothers, Harry Junior Miller and his wife Rosemarie of Memphis, MO, Gerald Rankin Miller and his wife Anna of Kahoka, MO, one sister, Dalene Bergman and her husband Harvey of Kahoka, MO, nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, six sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 29 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Mike Shea officiating. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton, IL.
Memorials were established for the American Cancer Society or River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA.
