Ronald "Pete" Duane Bogguss, 80, of Kahoka passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, MO.

He was born September 8, 1944 in Clark County, MO the son of Harold and Joyce Christian Bogguss.

Pete had been employed by Schusters in Kansas doing road construction for many years. He also did custom bull dozing in his younger years.

Pete was an avid coin and gun collector. He enjoyed attending truck and tractor pulls and loved helping his daughter with their horses growing up.

He is survived by his children, Michael Bogguss of Kahoka, Laura Long of Clark, MO and Melissa Hyde of Revere and three grandchildren, Ashley, Trevor and Kylee and two great grandchildren, Noah, and Destiny. He is also survived by four sisters, Judy Pauly (Herb), Brenda Kay Jones, Sherry Parietti (Chuck) and Linda Huckriede.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Terry Jones, a brother, Ike Bogguss, a brother-in-law, Dave Huckriede and a nephew, Jody Dale Jones.

A gathering of remembrance will be held from 4-6p.m., Saturday, October 12, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with family meeting with friends at that time.
