Ronald Eugene McCane, Sr, 60, of Keokuk, IA died Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. He was born May 16, 1946 in Ft. Madison, IA the son of Daniel and Maddie Crowson McCane. He was united in marriage to Doris McClinton in October of 1979 in Keokuk, IA. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Angelina Williams and her husband Cecil of Hannibal, MO, one son, Larry McCane of Keokuk, IA and one step-son, Chuck McClinton of Mt. Pleasant, IA. Five grandchildren, Deannd'ra Dorsey , Quentin Dorsey, VaShaun Dorsey , Quincy Lee McCane and Jordan Strickland, one sister, Agnes Jordan of Pennsylvania, two brothers, Dale McCane of Keokuk, IA and Jim McCane of Mt. Pleasant, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Ronald McCane, Jr. in July of 2006 and his step father, Ray Miles. He was a lifelong resident of Keokuk, IA and had been employed at Foote Mineral for 37 years until his retirement in 2002. He was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed watching wrestling on television. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Sylvia Tillman officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m., Monday at the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk, IA. Visitation will be held from 11a.m. – 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with the family meeting with friends at that time.
