Ronald Lee Brown 60, of Centerville, VA formerly of Montrose, IA died Saturday, February 15, 2014 at his home. He was born on November 22, 1953 in Keokuk, IA the son of Larry and Lola Wulf Brown. Ronald graduated from Central Lee High School in Donnellson, IA. He played the clarinet in high school and was selected to play in the Iowa High School State Honor Band. He was the first Central Lee student to have the opportunity to enrich his education experience by living and studying in Austria as an exchange student. He attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City IA and then continued his education at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. where he received his Master of Laws Degree. Ronald was employed as an attorney for the Justice Department in Washington, DC. for seventeen years. He currently was employed as a stock broker. He is survived by his parents, Larry and Lola Brown of Montrose, IA, two sisters, Diane Grossman and her husband Dennis of Farmington, IA and Carla Varnold and her husband Curtis of Parker, CO, one brother, Gordon Brown and his wife Linda of Montrose, IA and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Goldie Laymon officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Montrose Cemetery in Montrose, IA. Memorials may be made to the Central Lee High School Music Department.
