Ronald "Ronnie" Bowdish, 46, of Keokuk, IA died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. He was born on April 8, 1963 in Elmhurst, IL, the son of Ronald and Patricia Long Bowdish. He had been employed at Midwest Academy in Keokuk, IA and also at Hardees in Carthage, IL. He loved to go bike riding, tossing a disc, listening to music as well as playing the saxophone and kicking back and relaxing with friends. He is survived by his parents, three sisters, Joann Carnes and her husband Harley of Bowen, IL Melissa Blanco and her husband Joe of Boilingbrook, IL, Jill Chinderle and her husband Ronald of Bowen, IL, a brother, Steve Bowdish of Carthage, IL, paternal grandmother, Josephine Bowdish of Villa Park, IL, maternal grandfather, William Lefaver of Herber Springs, AR, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister in infancy, Debrah Jo, paternal grandfather, George Bowdish and maternal grandmother, Marianne Lafaver. According to his wishes his body has been cremated. Memorials services will be held 2:00 p.m., July 11 at the Bethel Baptist Church, 1028 South Sixth Street in Princeton, IL. Memorials may be made to the Gideon's Bible Society.
