Roger C. Lemaster, 55, of Keokuk, IA, died Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at the Keokuk Area Hospital. He was born October 3, 1949 in Keokuk, IA, the son of Walter C. and Katherine Howe Lemaster. On September 6, 1975, he married Marlene Michelle Foglesong in Wayland, MO. She survives. Other survivors include his mother, Katherine Lemaster of Keokuk, IA, two sons, Brandon Lemaster and his wife Sara of Keokuk, IA, Nathan Lemaster of Keokuk, IA, two sisters, Sandra Jingst and her husband Ted of Warsaw, IL, and Cheryl Luft of Keokuk, IA. He is also survived by his mother and father in law, Harold and Marjorie Foglesong of Kahoka, MO, aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters in law. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Lemaster, his father, Walter Lemaster, and grandparents. Roger graduated from Keokuk High School in 1968. After he graduated high school he joined the Army in August of 1968 till Aug 1971 and faithfully served his country during the Vietnam Conflict and was awarded the Purple Heart and Silver Star. He was employed at Metzeler Automotive as a maintenance mechanic for 36 years. He was a member of a Nondenominational Church. He was a member of URW Local 444, the Fraternal Order of the Elks and the VFW. Roger enjoyed playing golf, watching all kinds of sports especially his sons playing in sports, and was a loving husband, father and friend and cherished the time he spent with his family. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 20 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Barry Barkley and Mark Peters officiating. Burial with military rites was in the Chambersburg Cemetery, Chambersburg, MO. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or for Nathan's Education Fund.
