Rodney Gene Laymon, 54, of Keokuk, IA died Friday, June 1, 2007 at 1008 Morgan St. Keokuk, IA. He was born on October 23, 1952 in Keosauqua, IA the son of Gene and Beulah Mullikin Laymon. He was a special friend of Diane Moe for the past fifteen years. She died unexpectedly at her home on June 1, 2007. Rodney graduated from the Revere High School with the Class of 1971. He was employed at Keokuk Steel Castings in Keokuk, and than was self employed. He enjoyed deer hunting and mushrooming and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors. Rodney is survived by his father, Gene Laymon of Kahoka, MO, one daughter, Mary Jo Laymon and one son, Rodney Laymon, Jr. both of Liberty, MO, one sister, Rhonda Kleinert and her husband John of Revere, MO, and one brother, Wes Laymon of Revere, MO and numerous other relatives. A Memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Rev. Goldie Laymon officiating. Memorials may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous.
