Robert Eugene "Broadway" Davis, 50, of Wayland, MO, died Sunday, December 2, 2007 at his home. He was born on February 25, 1957 in Keokuk, IA, the son of Leatha May Gilmore. Robert served in the United States Army. He had been employed at Keokuk Steel Castings and Vermillion Trucking both in Keokuk. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and rehashing old tales. He is survived by two daughters, Rachel Happs and Megan Davis, both of Keokuk, three grandchildren, Kerrigan Carr, Hannah Phillips and Royce Kokjohn, the mothers of his children, Donna Kay and Cyndi Saunders both of Keokuk, IA, two brothers, Randy Chumbley of the tri-state area, and John Burke of Colorado, and a niece, Lisa M. Gosnell. Other survivors include Bob H. Davis & wife Barbara of Alexandria, MO, Carl Davis & his wife Sue of St. Patrick, MO, Mary McKay of Kahoka, MO, Susie Smith and her husband Larry of Keokuk, Judy Murphy & husband Barry of Kahoka, MO, Bill Stevens and Joy Bell of Wayland, MO, aunts, uncles, nieces nephews & cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, and other family members, Albert (Smokey) Davis and his wife Mary and Merble Glen Davis. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Thursday at the Frazee Cemetery in rural Alexandria, MO. Memorials may be made to the family.
