Robert K. Brewer, 46 of Keokuk, IA died Friday, August 24, 2007 at his home. He was born on January 24, 1961 in Keokuk, IA the son of John E. Sr. and Florence A. Williams Brewer. On November 21, 1995 he was united in marriage to Lori Richmond in Keokuk, IA. She survives. Other survivors include his mother, Florence Stark of Keokuk, IA, one son, Robert Keith Brewer, Jr. of Keokuk, IA, one daughter, Ashley Brewer of Keokuk, IA, three step- children, Chuck Derrig of Arkansas, Jennifer Derrig of Wyoming, and Eddie Derrig of Colorado, four step grandchildren, five brothers, John E. Brewer, Jr, and his wife Becky of Quincy, IL, Larry J. Brewer and his wife Sharon of St. Petersburg, FL, David E. Brewer and his wife Carol of Keokuk, IA, Richard W. Brewer and his wife Patsy of Des Moines, IA, and Ronald D. Brewer and his wife Sandra of Des Moines, IA, three sisters, Pamela K. Whitaker and her husband Michael of Keokuk, IA, Sandra J. Conn of Galesburg, IL, and Kathy S. Crowell and her husband Duke of Keokuk, IA, two step-sisters, Dorinda White of Keokuk, IA and Rena Rose of Argyle, IA, a special niece Dana A. Garrelts and her husband Michael of Columbus, OH, numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert was preceded in death by his father, step-father, John Stark, one brother, Donald Lee Brewer and his grand parents. He was a self employed contractor, working in construction. Robert loved to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He enjoyed being on the computer and loved to crochet and make blankets. Memorial services were held at 6:00 p.m.,Tuesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Rev. Mike McMillen officiating. Memorials may made to the Lee County Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
