Ricky Wayne Stepp, 53, of Keokuk, IA died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.
He was born June 28, 1957 in Keokuk, IA, the son of Leroy F. and Mary Jane Tucker Stepp. On October 15, 1983, Ricky was united in marriage to Melody Ann Moore. She survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Mary Stepp of Keokuk, IA, mother and father in-law, Bob and Ruth Moore of Keokuk, IA, three brothers, Gary Stepp and his wife June, Shawn Stepp, and Michael Stepp, one sister, Lea Hendricks and her husband Ken "Butch" all of Keokuk, IA, nephews, Ryan Moore and his wife Jerrie, Shane Stepp of Ft. Madison, IA, Patrick and Philip Hendricks of Iowa City, IA, nieces, Melisa Ann Anderson and her husband Rob, Mandy Hendricks of Keokuk, IA, Meriann Bowles and her husband Brian of Rochester, MN, great nephews, Colton Stepp and Wyatt Billings, great nieces, Kaitlyn and Rachel Moore, Alisha Houghton and Kaylee Ann Bowles and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy F. Stepp and one sister-in-law, Tamera Moore.
Ricky graduated from Keokuk Senior High with the class of 1976.
He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Ft. Benning, GA for four years.
He worked at Keokuk Prototype Foundry and then at the Arrowhead Bowl until 2008.
He was of the Christian faith. He loved to bowl and was a member of the Monday Night Early Bird League and Tuesday Night Industrial League. Rick also loved to travel and go to Casinos to just play.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. , Thursday, October 28, 2010 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Bill Mitchell officiating. Burial with military rites was in the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, IA.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the First Christian Church of Keokuk, IA.
