View Video Tribute Richard Biddenstadt, 77, of Keokuk, IA, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. He was born July 3, 1929 in Keokuk, IA, the son of William and Violet Inman Biddenstadt. On June 4, 1950, Richard was united in marriage to Betty Parke in Keokuk, IA. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Nancy Stephenson of Keokuk, IA, one son, Dennis E. Biddenstadt and his wife Linda of Ft. Madison, IA, one sister, Elizabeth Derr and her husband Junior of Farmington, IA, one brother, Bird Biddenstadt and his wife Kay of Council Bluffs, IA, four grandchildren, Paul Stephenson, Pete Biddenstadt, Sarah Barnes and her husband Brandon and Megan Biddenstadt, three great-grandchildren, Sterling Barnes, Spencer Barnes and Aria Stephenson. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Julius, Ralph, William and Vernon and one sister, Frances Spiesz. He was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Keokuk, IA. He had been employed at Schlotter's Greenhouse and Super Oil in Keokuk, IA. He then worked at F.A. Dunn in Keokuk for 43 years. Following that he worked for Church Enderle in Keokuk, retiring in 1991. After his retirement he owned and operated Rich's Welding Shop in Keokuk. Funeral services were held 1 p.m., Saturday, March 3, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend John Tyler officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk, IA.
