Rhonda Kay Wheatley, 56 of Keokuk died Thursday, March 23, 2017 at her home.
She was born March 28, 1960 in Omaha, NE the daughter of John and Barbara Ellison Stephens. She was united in marriage to Donald Wheatley on September 10, 1984 in Keokuk.
She is survived by her husband, Don of Keokuk, three sons, Justin Wheatley (Amy) of Hiawatha, IA, Shane Wheatley of Milan, IL and Tyler Wheatley of Indianola, IA, six grandchildren, Leighton Wheatley of Abilene, TX, Trenton Wheatley of Hiawatha, IA, Alexis Wheatley of Hiawatha, IA, Chloe Wheatley of Indianola, IA, Aaron Wheatley of Milan, IL and Maximus Wheatley of Milan, IL and three brothers, Jesse Stephens of Aurora, NE, David Stephens of Ft. Madison, IA and Terry Stephens.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John (Butch) Stephens.
Rhonda graduated from Southeastern Community College in Keokuk where she completed the nursing program and received her LPN license.
She had been employed through the years at several different businesses in the area as an LPN.
Rhonda enjoyed shopping trips and was always on the hunt for a great bargain. She found great strength in the Bible. Rhonda adored her grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them.
A private family graveside service will be at a later date in the Keokuk National Cemetery.
