Obituary

Rex Roller, 56, of Ashton, Missouri died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in Kahoka. He was born January 14, 1959 in Chambersburg, MO the son of Noble Lester and Vivian Jane Berrie Roller. He was united in marriage to Joan Tanner on February 2, 1987 in Kahoka, Missouri. She preceded him in death on January 13, 2015. Rex graduated from Clark County R-1 High School in 1977. He served as a paramedic for the Clark County Ambulance Squad for 14 years. Recently Rex worked in the swine production industry for Bluff Road Genetics. Rex was a dedicated member of the Bible Baptist Church. Rex and Joan enjoyed loading in the car, taking small drives looking around at the local scenery and taking in a couple antique stores along the way. He also enjoyed metal detecting, mushroom hunting, and Nascar racing. His favorite driver was Dale Jr. Above all things, Rex enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids. He is survived by his daughters; Summer Roller of Kahoka, Tiffany Roller of Carthage and Ashley O'Day and her husband Shannon of Kahoka, two step sons; Jason Morgan and his companion Dawn Kirchner of Wayland and Jeremy Morgan of Kahoka, three grandchildren; Georgia Seabold, Nevada Roller, and Cali O'Day, his brothers and sisters; Timothy Roller and his wife Gerry of Knoxville, TN, Thomas Roller and his wife Sally of Kansas City, MO, Judy Sawyer and her husband Gerald, Nancy Edlen and her husband Jack, Gloria Kiger and her husband Larry, Jacquilyn Boatman all of Kahoka and Kelly Varnold and her husband Darrell of Moberly, MO, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and soul mate, his parents, four brothers; David Kephart and his wife Jackie, Richard Roller, Kenneth Roller, and Tony Roller, his sister; Susan Redding and her husband Keith, brother in law; Jim Boatman, and two nieces; Kari Wright and Barbara "Bobbi" Edlen Blackburn. Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Saturday, February 7th 2015 at the Bible Baptist Church in Kahoka with Pastors Glenn Yoder and Tim Roller officiating. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
