Renee Phyllis Page, 53, of Keokuk, IA, died Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospital.
She was born on October 16, 1963 in Wheeling West Virginia, the daughter of Delores Benedict Page. She attended High School in Keokuk, IA.
Renee had been an over the road truck driver for Vermillion Brothers in Keokuk and also for Leeser TX Inc. in Palmyra, MO. She loved driving a truck and enjoyed her years as an OTR driver.
She was an avid reader and always listened to audio books while driving the truck. Above all, family was the most important thing to Renee. She was a very caring person and was always available to help out a family member whenever they needed anything. For the past several years, she helped care for her mother.
She is survived by her daughter, Vikki Page of Lone Tree, IA, her mother, Delores Page of Keokuk, three sisters, Barbara Rueter and husband, John of Hannibal, MO, Pamela Cole and husband, Richard of Newton, IA and Vickie Ray of Largo, FL, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Lee Page, three sisters, Teresa Page, Marjorie Grelk, and Louise Coon and two nephews Matt Coon and Charles S. Stamper.
A Gathering of Remembrance for family and friends will be held on February 11, 2017 from
3 – 5 p.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk.
As Renee had been a recipient of a kidney transplant, the family wishes that memorials be made to the National Foundation for Transplants, to help Renee's nephew Donnie Baker, with the expenses for his needed kidney transplant.
